Les Jones – Development Director
Les Jones has over 20 years of experience in learning and development, performance management and resourcing in the public and private sectors. With a focus on the practical application of HR in support of organisational efficiency, he is able to draw upon his vast experience to make his training sessions reflect the importance of HR and its practical application. Les is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, a Fellow of the ILM, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Deborah Groves – Director of International Relationships
Deborah has had over 20 years’ experience as a manager and a trainer in both public and private sector organisations. She now specialises in assessing the detailed training needs of individuals and teams before designing and delivering workable, interactive training programmes with an in-depth focus on management development, team building and the enhancement of motivational skills. Deborah is a Fellow of the ILM and an Associate member of the CIPD.
Harry Puckering – International Marketing Director
Harry has designed and delivered successful learning and development consultancy services since 1999. Harry's mixed business background, in the private and public sectors, in HR, marketing, publishing and general management, combined with his relaxed, facilitative approach, uniquely equips him for working with Oakwood's varied clients. He is an Associate member of the CIPD, a member of the ILM and a Graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
Bernadette Ramsay - Associate Director
Bernadette Ramsay has worked for over 20 years in the financial services sector in a variety of HR and training roles and now works with both public and private sector clients. Bernadette is an experienced group facilitator and trainer with particular strengths in developing personal skills to make individuals more effective. She has an MSc in Training and a diploma in Business Coaching, is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a Fellow of the ILM.
Martin Kahn - Associate Director
Martin is an experienced trainer and coach and has worked in many different marketplaces. Most of Martin’s career has been spent in FTSE 100 companies ending up as head of international sales before taking on the head of training role. Martin trains at all levels, developing emerging managers, right though to coaching senior executives at an advanced level. Martin is an Associate member of the CIPD and has a degree and Higher Diploma in Education.
Scott Hunter - Associate Director
Scott has over 10 years management and training experience and has worked in both the public and private sector. Scott has worked in the UK, the Balkans and the Middle East, developing and delivering training for management development programs. He is a registered mentor for small and micro businesses within the UK. Scott is an Associate Member of the CIPD, a Member of the ILM, and a Member of Chartered Management Institute.
Neil House - Associate Director
Neil has a wealth of experience in management and training. In his 20 years as a manager in the UK Ministry of Justice, Neil has spent 10 years training senior managers, up-and-coming managers and new staff. This included a 6 year secondment to the UK National Custodial Care Training College. Neil is an Associate Member of the CIPD.
Tim Malone - Associate Director
Tim has over 20 years of experience managing both large and specialist staff teams in public and private sector organisations. His experience includes the management of HR, Learning and Development, and Health and Safety departments. Tim also has considerable knowledge of curriculum design and delivery and specialises in developing industry-specific contingency planning, conflict resolution and risk management training programmes. Tim is an Associate Member of the CIPD and a Fellow of the ILM.
John Capel - Associate Director
John is a globally experienced Management Consultant, facilitator and learning solutions designer. He has held a number of Senior Learning Leader roles including; European Head of Training and Development at Linde; Senior Business Change Consultant at Xansa (now Steria); Senior Organisational Consultant for Lloyds TSB. He has over 25 years experience, in both the Private and Public sectors, with the design, delivery and evaluation of learning interventions in Sales; Leadership; Management Development and Change. John has a Diploma in Management from the Open University, is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and an Associate Member of the CIPD.
Mike Todd - Associate Director
Mike has a wealth of practical HR experience gained from over 30 years of working in a wide range of roles in highly respected HR functions. He has held senior HR roles with such well known organisations as Conoco, LloydsTSB, Bank of New York and GMAC. Mike has a BA in Business Administration and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
Saima Arfeen - Associate Director
Saima has extensive HR and soft skills training and facilitation experience in the UAE with a wide experience of training delivery of junior to senior management employees across the UAE banking sector with Barclays Bank PLC and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. In addition to this, she has also been involved in curriculum development, and leading coaching and mentoring programs. Saima is a certified facilitator with an interactive training style which compliments the delivery of the content. Saima holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and a Masters degree in Strategic Human Resource Management having received the top graduate award for her graduating class. Saima is also an Associate Member of the CIPD and a Fellow of the ILM.
Steve Harpum – Associate Director
Steve is a highly experienced senior leader and manager with a passion for helping people and organisations to rise to the challenge of change and to be the best they can be. He is an ILM and CMI qualified coach and mentor, a Chartered Member of the CIPD and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management. Steve has a BSc in Psychology and Social Sciences, an MA in Strategic Studies and an MSc in Management. He has extensive international experience, including three years living and working in Saudi Arabia.
Georgia Rothon - Associate Director
Georgia is a driven HR Director with over 20 years international Human Resources and Learning and Development experience within customer focused organisations. As well as an experienced international HR generalist and HR consultant, Georgia has a proven track record in areas such as employer branding and employee engagement, organisational development, project management and award winning large scale culture and organisational change programmes, working in recognised global organisations. Georgia is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, is a qualified coach and experienced facilitator.
