IiP is recognised across the World and organisations who are accredited
demonstrate they achieve excellence in the leadership, support and management
of their people.
Judged against 9 standards, organisations must provide
evidence that they inspire; instil values; empower; measure performance;
reward; collaborate; build capability; continually improve and create an
environment for success.
This sounds like quite a challenge but, as with
everything we do, Oakwood International are fully prepared and looking forward
to putting our evidence together for the re-accreditation process. For
each of the standards we must ensure that we are fully aware of what is
required of us as an organisation and for individuals.
Despite this formal re-assessment, Oakwood strive to
continually maintain the IiP standards. One of the ways in which this is
achieved is by the completion of self-assessment or Continual Professional
Development (CPD) Records and Plans. At Oakwood International the entire team
(including the CEO and MD) complete their CPD twice a year and this forms the
basis of their objectives moving forward.
For Oakwood, the re-accreditation process is not a
‘tick the box’ exercise. It is a genuine opportunity for the organisation to
review our procedures and reflect on what we do. The entire team are encouraged
and empowered to participate throughout. We have all been attending workshops ,
discussion sessions and enjoyed the input from our dedicated IiP adviser. Both the UK and Dubai Teams have been heavily
involved in the process and it has been of real value to work together in a
common understanding of what, as a successful organisation, we are aiming to
achieve.
So, we are welcoming the re-accreditation and are
certain that we will attain our goals not only for IiP but for our continued
growth in a happy and successful company.
